Ogun state governor arrest 14 peoples

The Ogun State Special Environmental Taskforce
has apprehended Fourteen people for violating
sanitation laws.
The Taskforce led by the Chairmen, Abeokuta
South and North Local Governments moved
round the state capital early Friday morning to
arrest Offenders.
The Chairman of Abeokuta South Local
Government, Mr. Olusola Ekundayo explained that
the offenders were arrested for indiscriminate
dumping of refuse on road median and
contravening government’s order not to open for
business until drainage channels in front of their
shops were cleared.
Mr. Ekundayo pointed out that the arrest would
serve as a deterrent to others in the state.
His Abeokuta North counterpart, Mr. Bayowa
Ibikunle expressed Satisfaction with the level of
compliance with the environmental sanitation law
in the council areas.
Governor Ibikunle Amosun had moved to the
three senatorial districts of the state to sensitize
and warned the people against dumping of
refuse on road median.
Radio Nigeria Segun Folarin, observed that shops
in Sapon, Lantoro Junction, Adatan-Abeokuta
were locked following the refusal of their owners
to clear drainage channels in the markets.
