Mike adeluga donate N500 to bayelsa

The chairman of Globacom, Nigeria’s leading
telecommunication outfit, Mike Adenuga Jr is not
a man who likes to blow his own trumpet or
launder his good works in public particularly
those directed at humanitarian service.
In 2012, when Bayelsa state was devastated by
flood and funds from the federal and state
government were not forthcoming, Adenuga, who
rarely makes public appearances donated N500
million to help Bayelsa citizens especially those
who had become homeless and without food.
Adenuga’s generosity was disclosed by Chairman
of Bayelsa State Post Management Committee,
Chief Francis Doukpola, who in an attempt to
dismiss claims by the All Progressives Congress
(APC) that the committee received N15 billion
revealed that it only received N535 million.
“The committee only received the sum of N500
million from the state government, being
donation from a philanthropist organisation, Mr
Mike Adenuga Foundation and additional N35
million for logistics and administrative cost,”
Doukpola said.
